Pete Amirkhan, Senior Vice President, Public Sector
Pete Amirkhan’s career spans over 20 years of experience building and leading high-technology Sales, Customer Success, Field Engineering and Channel organizations. As Senior Vice President of the Public Sector at Zscaler, Pete leads the company’s go to market strategy and sales efforts for the U.S. Government and Education markets. Pete has played a pivotal role in establishing Zscaler’s strong position as the leading cloud security provider and Zero Trust Authority for public sector organizations.
Prior to Zscaler, Pete was the Chief Revenue Officer at Druva Inc, the leader in data protection as a service. Before joining Druva, Pete served as the Corporate Vice President of AMD’s Data Center Solutions practice. Prior to AMD, he began his technology career in Business Development at NetApp.
Preceding his career path in high tech, Pete got his start in public accounting and moved into corporate accounting with General Ledger responsibility for a $500M division of Clear Channel Communications. Pete also served as CFO of SLO Ticketing which was acquired by Ticketmaster.
Pete currently advises several high-technology, venture backed start-ups on go to market strategy and the development of world class teams.
Pete is based in San Francisco, and works out of Zscaler’s Headquarters in San Jose, CA.

Prior to joining Zscaler, Danny was the Associate CISO, Operations Branch Chief for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). During his 11 year tenure at CDC, Danny was responsible for implementing operational capabilities to support incident response, forensics, cyber threat intel and insider threat functions. He has designed, implemented, and optimized enterprise cyber security capabilities to effectively detect, prevent and respond to emerging cybersecurity threats.

In his role, Stephen leads his team’s efforts to advance Federal IT modernization by delivering cloud security solutions through direct-to-cloud connections and zero trust security capabilities.
Stephen is a frequent author, speaker, and industry’s most vocal advocate for Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) policy reform. He is also a staunch supporter of the FedRAMP program, leading the Zscaler team to achieve numerous FedRAMP authorizations including the first and only FedRAMP High Baseline, JAB authorization for a zero trust remote access solution.

In his current role as VP of Civilian Sales for Zscaler, Tom is responsible for leading the sales team in their efforts to help support U.S. Federal Civilian agencies on their path to secure cloud adoption. He has been pivotal in establishing the company’s strong position as the only FedRAMP authorized, fully end-to-end Zero Trust Platform solution for government.
Prior to Zscaler, Tom led top performing teams as a Regional Manager at Cisco Systems. Tom also held sales roles at Symantec, VERITAS and EMC.

Jose M. Padin is Zscaler’s US Public Sector Director of Sales Engineering. Jose engages with government customers at a strategic level to identify solutions to their top IT challenges, including security and compliance, digital transformation, and cloud migration. Jose combines 20 years of IT leadership with more than 15 years of experience in the public sector, including advising the Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, federal system Integrators and state and local governments.
As SE Director, Jose creates and communicates Zscaler technology vision for the US public sector. He and his team of engineers help government organizations understand how current and upcoming Zscaler technologies can help them fulfill their mission. He is a featured speaker and panel member at numerous industry events.
Jose joined Zscaler in 2020. Prior to Zscaler, he spent 14-years with Citrix, in various leadership positions. Earlier in his career, he gained hands-on experience in IT as a manager and engineer.
Jose earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is based in the Washington, D.C., metro area.

Hansang Bae has over 25 years of experience working in the information technology industry. As Zscaler’s Public Sector Chief Technologist, he is responsible for assisting and educating customers in their Digital Transformation journey. He is not only well versed but also passionate about his role in advising public sector organizations on best practices and strategies for adopting a Cloud-First security posture.
During his career, Bae has served in similar roles as an executive member at Netskope and at Riverbed. Prior to Riverbed, he was a member of the Citi (Citigroup) Architecture and Technology Engineering leadership team. As one of the six global engineering leads, he was responsible for datacenter, branch and performance engineering, network management (NMS) tools, and capacity planning groups for all of Citi.
As an avid protocol analyst, Bae collaborates with industry associations in educating public sector organizations and also holds an active role as a board member of Wireshark Foundation, helping steer the open-source project and ensure its continued success.
