Amit Sinha, Ph.D

Dr. Amit Sinha is a skilled entrepreneur and technology leader who has driven the research and development of disruptive security and wireless technologies at both startups and market-leading organizations. Dr. Sinha has served as the Chief Executive Officer and President, and as a board member of DigiCert, Inc., a global provider of digital trust solutions, since October 2022. Dr. Sinha served as our President from January 2022 until his resignation in October 2022. Previously, Dr. Sinha served as our President, Research and Development, Operations, and Customer Service from July 2019 to January 2022. He also previously served as our Executive Vice President of Engineering and Cloud Operations from October 2013 to July 2019. Dr. Sinha was our Chief Technology Officer from December 2010 until January 2022. Prior to Zscaler, Dr. Sinha served as CTO for Motorola’s enterprise networking and communications business, which he joined via its acquisition of AirDefense where he held the same role. He has also served as Chief Technologist at Engim, which he co-founded.

Dr. Sinha earned an MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the President of India Gold Medal. He holds dozens of US patents and has contributed to several books and dozens of conference and journal papers.
